Children's Ministry
"Some People brought children to Jesus so that he would place his hands on them and pray. But the disciples scolded them.
'Allow the children to come to me,' Jesus said. 'Don't forbid them, because the kingdom of heaven belongs to people like these children.' Then he blessed the children and went away from there." Matthew 19: 13-15 (CEB) Children are ALWAYS welcome in worship at Grace of God. We love to hear the joyful (and sometimes not so joyful..) noises of little ones. All ages are part of our faith community, and we always seem surprised at how much kids pick up from just being a part of the worship space. We have a play area set up in the worship space each week with quiet games, puzzles, toys and crafts. Parents are welcome to sit nearby and be a part of worship while also being able to keep an eye on their littles. Following the Gospel and through the sermon, there is an option for children to go to the library and hear a Bible story and do a craft. They will be brought back into worship during the hymn following the sermon. All are welcome, but it is up to the parent and child to decide how they want to experience worship on Sunday mornings. |
